TextPower (TextPower) LAUNCHES CELL PHONE MARKETING & PROMOTIONS PROGRAM
TextPower is the first to offer wireless marketing and
promotions delivery program.
Chicago, IL November 1, 2003 – Today, TextPower, Inc. (TextPower),
a premier wireless solutions provider, announced the first wireless messaging
service targeted for marketing and promotions to select industries. The new
service extremely simplifies implementing a wireless campaign for businesses of
all sizes: restaurants, nightclubs, bars, retailers, gaming, sports and
entertainment industries and more.
The solutions being offered with this announcement provides a turnkey message management and delivery solution to cell phones and other wireless devices from any US carrier, for businesses of all sizes. The process includes building an opt-in database of persons to begin sending messages to. Participants can build their opt-in databases simply and on-line, much like they are building newsletter subscription databases on-line today. Additionally, they may invite patrons to subscribe to the new wireless program by simply sending “subscribe” email.
“Collecting the data and incenting participation is quite simple and straight-forward for most businesses”, stated Ms. Kathleen Ove, Marketing VP for TextPower, “designing the marketing communications for repeated real-time delivery is the key to our clients success. And you do not necessarily have to get it right the first time either. As long as you build-in reasonable incentives and/or expectations into your program, your recipients will accept less-than perfect invitations to participate in your program. But you have to deliver value eventually; and most do by the third message; and the results are immediate and dramatic.”
Kim Wold, managing director or the new facility in Downers Grove, IL, said: “Acceptance to the new offering has been overwhelming. We have companies from all industries and sizes beginning to launch their own mobile marketing and advertising campaigns. The interest runs the gambit from local restaurants and nightclubs on to the National restaurant chains, major sports organizations, on up to the International sporting goods retailers.”
BusinessWeek writes: “…However, the options are near limitless. A savvy wireless marketer on Valentines Day could send promotions to phones for long-stem roses, diamond rings, honeymoons in Maui. And they would have reached consumers in a state of ardor -- every marketer's dream. With transaction services available through the phone, already common in much of Europe and Asia, the suitors could even click to buy. It’s a new world for the marketer. The winners will be companies that build up piles of cell-phone numbers whose owners opt-in for advertising. But they'll be leaning heavily on software companies to help them digest all the mail and on ad companies equipped with demographers to help them target their pitch.” This is exactly the role TextPower is filling with this announcement today.
The initial offering, announced today, is a subset of the capabilities TextPower has available and sees rolling out over the next twelve months. Exciting technologies such as polls, voting, interactive selling and the complete integration of images, will be in rolled out in future announcements. The present offering includes an easily managed campaign including text and voice messaging to an opt-in list, at a very inexpensive let's-get-started price point.
